This page explains how payment works on sealedboxesusa.com — the methods we accept, how we keep your information secure, and what to expect through checkout. By placing an order, you agree to the terms below and to our Terms of Service.
1. Accepted Payment Methods
We accept the following payment methods at checkout:

All available payment options are displayed at checkout based on your device and region. If a method you'd like to use isn't shown, please contact us at support@sealedboxesusa.com.
We do not accept cash, checks, money orders, wire transfers, cryptocurrency, or gift cards from third-party retailers at this time.
2. Currency
All prices on the Site are listed and charged in U.S. dollars (USD). If your card is issued in another currency, your bank will apply its own exchange rate and may charge a foreign transaction fee. Sealed Boxes USA does not control or receive these fees.
3. Sales Tax
Sales tax is calculated automatically at checkout based on your shipping address and applicable state and local laws. The exact tax amount will be shown before you confirm your order.
- Orders shipped within Nevada are subject to Nevada sales tax.
- Orders shipped to states where we have economic nexus may also be subject to local sales tax.
- Tax-exempt buyers (e.g., certain resellers) should contact us at support@sealedboxesusa.com before placing an order with a valid resale or exemption certificate. We cannot apply exemptions retroactively.
4. Payment Security
Your security is our priority.
- All transactions are processed through PCI-DSS compliant payment processors (such as Stripe, Shopify Payments, and PayPal).
- Card details are encrypted in transit using SSL/TLS and never stored on our servers.
- We use industry-standard fraud-detection tools to flag suspicious activity.
- We may decline or hold orders that fail fraud screening.

5. Order Authorization & Charges
When you submit an order:
- Your card or wallet is authorized for the full order amount, including taxes and shipping.
- The charge is typically captured at the time the order is processed for shipment. For some payment methods (e.g., PayPal), the charge may be captured immediately.
- You'll receive an email confirmation once the payment is successfully captured.
If your card shows a pending charge but the order didn't go through, the authorization will automatically release within 3 – 7 business days, depending on your bank.
6. Declined or Failed Payments
If your payment is declined, please:
- Double-check the card number, expiration date, CVV, and billing address.
- Confirm you have sufficient funds or available credit.
- Contact your bank to ensure the transaction wasn't blocked for security reasons.
- Try an alternative payment method.

7. High-Value Order Verification
For orders above a certain threshold (typically $500 or more), or for orders flagged by our fraud-detection system, we may:
- Request additional verification (e.g., a photo ID matching the billing name);
- Require the shipping address to match the billing address;
- Require signature confirmation on delivery.
This is to protect both you and us from unauthorized purchases. Verification requests are made by email and processed quickly.
8. Pre-Orders
For pre-order products (sealed releases not yet shipping):
- Payment is collected in full at the time of order, unless otherwise stated on the product page.
- Estimated release dates are provided by the manufacturer/distributor and are subject to change.
- If a release is delayed, we'll notify you by email. You may choose to wait or cancel for a full refund.
- If a pre-order is canceled by the manufacturer or becomes unavailable, you'll receive a full refund automatically.
9. Order Cancellation
You can request to cancel an order before it ships. Please email us at support@sealedboxesusa.com or call +1 (209) 347-1714 as soon as possible — once an order has been packed or handed to the carrier, we may not be able to stop it.
If your order has already shipped, please follow our Return & Refund Policy instead.
10. Refunds
Refunds are issued to the original payment method and follow the timing rules of the issuing bank or wallet. See our Return & Refund Policy for full details on eligibility, timing, and process.
11. Errors at Checkout
If you experience an issue at checkout — duplicate charges, missing items in your cart, incorrect totals, or any other problem — please contact us immediately at support@sealedboxesusa.com with a screenshot if possible. We'll investigate and make it right.
